The speed camera in Warwickshire that has caught out the most drivers
The speed camera most likely to catch drivers in Warwickshire has been revealed. It follows a Freedom of Information Act request made to Warwickshire[1] Police force.
Details of all FOI requests are listed on the force’s website and one asked which speed camera in the area captured the most speeding offences in the year 2023/24.
The response from the force was the temporary average speed camera on the M6-M42 Southbound link in Water Orton. A question was also asked about how many speed fines were issued in the year 2023/24.

The force’s response was 210,393 speeding fines. Warwickshire Police[4] force carries out speed camera stings throughout the year.
But heading into the festive season, the focus will not just be on speeding but also drink and drug driving. The force also carries out operations on the motorway stretches that run through the region on a ‘supercab’.
Officers patrol the roads in a National Highways’ owned HGV ‘supercab’, which allows them to see drivers as they travel along the roads – and it has led to dozens being caught using their mobile phones –[5] and some even putting on make up.
