Three injured after multi-vehicle crash leads to road closure

A Leicestershire road was closed this morning (Wednesday, November 13) following a crash. A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said crews had been called to the junction of Coopers Lane and Station Road near Broughton Astley.

The fire service closed the A426 in both directions following the crash, which is said to have involved three cars and a van. The spokeswoman said that there were “three walking wounded” and that one person was assessed in their van by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The crash was reported at 8.11am.
