Three police cars in M6 stop as van seen ‘driving erratically’

A van was spotted ‘driving erratically’ on the M6 through North Staffordshire. And three police cars were involved in the stop overnight.

Now the force has confirmed the driver has been arrested. Staffordshire Police’s[1] road crime team say the vehicle was seen between Junctions 14 and 15 with concerns over how it was travelling.

Cops involved in the stop also say the vehicle ‘briefly failed to stop’. A post on X states: “Van spotted by officers driving erratically almost colliding with the barriers on both sides. Van briefly failed to stop but when another two of our units arrived the van driver saw sense and stopped.”

The individual was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
