CALNE: On Wednesday, November 20, Stephen Castle, of Grierson Close, was sentenced for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. The 48-year-old pleaded guilty to behaving in a manner likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress in Chippenham on July 27. He was fined GBP40.
CHIPPENHAM: On Wednesday, November 6, Sinead Fletcher, of Anson Road in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, was sentenced for failing to stop after a crash in Chippenham. The 41-year-old pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention on Bath Road on October 21 and failing to stop after she was involved in a crash that damaged another vehicle in the McDonald's car park on the same date. She also admitted driving without a licence and insurance and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Fletcher was given a jail sentence of 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, banned from driving for 45 months, and ordered to pay GBP85 in costs and a GBP154 surcharge. HILPERTON: On Thursday, November 21, Jade Whittaker, of Heeks Crescent, was sentenced for assaulting an emergency worker and other offences. The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer by beating him on February 11 at Gablecross Police Station in Swindon.
She also admitted assaulting a woman in Hilperton on February 10, causing her actual bodily harm, and damaging a Wiltshire police van on the M4 the following day. The 41-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her in Marlborough on March 30 and also admitted damaging a coffee pot and door belonging to the victim. He was ordered to pay GBP250 in compensation, must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, and was slapped with a community order and a restraining order, both of which will be in place until 2026. Spittle was also ordered to pay GBP85 in costs and a GBP114 surcharge.
WARMINSTER: On Thursday, November 21, Fiona Dennis, of Sherrington, was sentenced for harassment without violence. The 58-year-old pleaded guilty to harassing a man by sending him a number of "abusive" emails in Warminster between January 10 and May 19. She was slapped with a community order lasting until November 2025, must carry out 40 hours of unpaid work, and was ordered to pay GBP85 in costs and GBP114 surcharge.
Dennis was also handed a restraining order preventing her from contacting her victim directly or indirectly until November 20 next year. DEVIZES: On Saturday, November 23, Jennifer Embling-Jones, of Flax Mill Park Road, was sentenced for theft from a shop. The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing a candle worth GBP14.95 from The Bay Tree in Devizes on June 27.
She was fined GBP50 and ordered to pay GBP85 in costs and a GBP20 surcharge. CHIPPENHAM: On Saturday, November 23, Gemma Littleford, of St James in Dauntsey, was sentenced for drink driving. The 36-year-old pleaded guilty to driving on the B4069 in Chippenham on November 22 while the proportion of alcohol in her breath was 70 microgrammes per 100 millilitres.
She was banned from driving for 40 months, fined GBP415, and was ordered to pay GBP85 in costs.
