Bus driver arrested as man, 73, suffers ‘life-changing’ injuries in crash
A man has been rushed to hospital with 'life-changing' injuries after a horror crash in Warrington[1]. Emergency services were called out to Lockheed Road, in the Omega North business park, near to junction eight of the M62[2]. It followed a crash at around 5.20am this morning (December 18) involving a lorry and a double-decker bus.
Six bus passengers were injured in the collision. They included a 73-year-old man who suffered 'life-changing' serious injuries to his leg, the Liverpool Echo reports[3]. Police arrested the bus driver on suspicion of driving without due care and causing serious injury.
The lorry driver was uninjured in the collision. Police closed off the road in both directions following this morning's crash, causing delays around junction eight of the M62. Witnesses are being urged to come forward.
Details can be passed on to Cheshire Police by calling 101 or reporting them online[5], quoting IML-1987170.
