Emergency services called to motorbike crash on A31
Officers were alerted to reports of a crash involving a van and motorbike on the A31 near Canford Bottom at around 10am on December 3. The road was temporarily closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and cleared a diesel spill caused by the crash. The motorcyclist was taken to Poole[1] Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be serious.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10:18hrs on Tuesday 03 December to a road traffic[2] collision near Wimborne Minster, Dorset. "We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, and a critical care car to the scene. We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital."
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 10.18am to report of a collision involving a motorbike and a van on the A31 near Canford Bottom Roundabout.
"The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment but injuries are not believed to be serious."
