Family pay tribute to ‘wonderful mum’ who died following Ely collision
The family of a woman who died following a crash on the A142 in Ely last week have said they are "completely heartbroken" by the loss of their "wonderful mum". The family of 58-year-old Kelly Badcock from Little Downham, said: "On Wednesday evening our world was ripped apart by the sudden death of our wonderful mum.
Tributes have been paid to Kelly Badcock."We are completely heartbroken as a family and life will never be the same again. "For anyone who knew mum, you will know just how amazing she was.
Mum was the best wife, the best nanny and the best friend to so many. She thought of everyone and everything before herself and we are all at such a loss. "Please hug your family and tell them you love them.
We love you mum." Officers were called at about 4.25pm on Wednesday, 11 December with reports of a collision on the road at Ely involving a Suzuki Vitara and a Volvo HGV. Police and paramedics attended, and the road was closed.
Kelly, who was driving the Suzuki, died at the scene.
The driver of the HGV was not injured and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, saw any of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it, or anyone who has relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
