Ford driver arrested after Hertfordshire A41 HGV crash

Kings Langley residents reported "commotion" including emergency services rushing to the scene of a crash yesterday evening (December 15). Herts Police have confirmed they were called to the road, approaching the exit to Hemel Hempstead heading northbound, at around 8.15pm after a HGV (heavy goods vehicle) and a silver Ford Mondeo collided. A spokesperson added that the Ford driver, a man in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Herts Fire and Rescue and the East of England Ambulance Service were also called to the scene and have been contacted for more information. No road closures were put in place as part of the emergency services response. Update: An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "One ambulance and a paramedic car were sent to the northbound A41 yesterday following reports of a road traffic collision.

"One man was transported to Watford General Hospital for further assessment and care."
