Live: A38 blocked both ways by two-vehicle crash in Cornwall

The A38 was blocked after a crash in Cornwall this afternoon (Friday, December 13). The key route is blocked in both directions and drivers should expect delays in the area. The crash, which involved a car and a lorry, took place at the A374 Trerulefoot Roundabout.

It was first reported by traffic monitoring site Inrix at around 3.15pm. Inrix says: "A38 in both directions partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident, two vehicles involved at A374 (Trerulefoot roundabout)." According to Inrix, the crash cleared and delays eased off on the road by around 4pm. Devon and Cornwall Police[1] said: "Police were called at around 2.45pm on Friday 13 December following reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry on the A38 at Trerulefoot Roundabout.

"The ambulance service has also been called and it is believed two people have been injured. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible." This is a live blog.
