M42 crash live as Mercedes overturns causing ‘severe delays’

Drivers are being warned to expect hour-long delays after a HGV crash on the M42[1] in Warwickshire[2]. It happened earlier today (December 16). Work is underway to recover a HGV and a Mercedes which overturned at around 6am.

Delays are taking an hour, National Highways said. Crews from Atherstone and Polesworth Fire Stations were dispatched to the incident at around 7am. Motorists have been told to 'allow extra time for journeys.' Diversions are being signposted and traffic is being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads, according to Inrix.
