Man dies after being hit by van on main road

A pedestrian who was seriously injured in a collision on a West Sussex main road earlier this month has died, police said.

The incident involving a Mercedes Vito van and a 75-year-old man from Worthing happened on the A27 Crockhurst Hill near to the junction with the A24 Offington roundabout at around 16:10 GMT on 6 December.

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Thursday, according to Sussex Police.

His family have been informed.

The driver of the van was uninjured.
