Medway Tunnel traffic after crash outside Asda in Pier Road, Gillingham
Motorists are facing delays after a crash on a main route. The Medway Tunnel was at a "standstill" heading into Gillingham[1] following the accident, which happened just before the entrance to Asda in Pier Road.

One motorist said they'd popped out for a quick shop at Asda but hadn't moved for 30 minutes due to the accident.
A recovery truck arrived shortly after 3.10pm and the crash had been cleared by 3.45pm, but congestion remained for some time after.
