Roadside cameras record ‘significant’ decrease in speeding
Brundall has published the results of its recent speed awareness survey which was carried out between September 11 and October 10 in Blofield Road. A SAM2 camera recorded 28,100 vehicles travelling southwards along the road in this time and compared the speeds to a similar survey which was done in June.
The highest speed recorded by the camera was 55mph and the average speed was 27mph. In recent months, new 20mph roundels have been installed throughout the village and a handful of bollards have been erected at the Dales in response to concerns about parked cars reducing visibility.
"We are in regular conversation with highways, with the cost of any potential further parking restrictions being outside of what the parish council can afford, their support is needed."
