Tragedy as biker dies in Staffordshire crash

A biker has died in a crash. The casualty was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision with a van. An air ambulance landed as part of the emergency services response.

The crash happened in Rugeley - at the junction of the A460 and Stile Cop Road - at 7.28am today. A West Midlands Ambulance Service[1] spokeswoman said: "On arrival, crews found the motorcyclist, a man, in a critical condition receiving CPR from bystanders. Ambulance staff immediately took over to administer advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone's best efforts, he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene."
