Unlicensed biker admits causing pubgoer’s death
A motorcyclist who did not hold a driving licence when he struck and killed a man who was on his way home from a pub has appeared in court.
Reece Manley, 24, denied driving dangerously before the collision with pedestrian Alan Lloyd, 75, in Beeston, Leeds, in March 2022.
At Leeds Crown Court earlier he admitted driving while unlicensed and uninsured when he hit Mr Lloyd on the A6110 ring road.
He will stand trial for the causing death by dangerous driving charge in August 2026, more than four years after the crash.
