White van ‘driven erratically’ for 22 miles on the M4

Police are appealing for information after reports that a white van was seen "driving erratically" along a 22-mile stretch of the M4 in south Wales. South Wales Police received a number of reports from the motorway on Sunday afternoon. They say that the incident is alleged to have happened between junction 32 Coryton and junction 37 Pyle between 4pm and 4.45pm.

A statement from the force said: "A number of motorists had to take evasive action as the driver of a white van travelled erratically along the motorway, narrowly missing other vehicles and colliding with crash barriers." A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody. Officers investigating the incident are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of the van as it travelled between junctions 32 and 37 to make contact, giving reference *2400406052.
