A610: ‘Utter carnage’ as lorry overturns on roundabout near A38 at Ripley

The A610 was closed for several hours after a lorry overturned on a roundabout. Derbyshire Constabulary were called to the road at around 1pm on Thursday, January 30, following reports of an overturned lorry. Once at the scene, officers closed the road in both directions between the roundabout with the A38, Ripley, to the Sainsbury's roundabout, while emergency services attended.

Nobody was injured in the incident. The road remained closed for several hours as recovery teams worked to remove the lorry from the road. Motorists in the area described traffic from the scene as being 'utter carnage'.
