Chard and Honiton: A30 closed both ways due to crash
According to the Avon and Somerset Police, the A30 remained closed at the Somerset and Devon border following a single vehicle collision overnight on Wednesday, January 15. The road remained closed on January 16 to allow authorities to conduct collision investigation work and repairs between the Whitestaunton / Northay turn-off (Chard) and James Lane (Crawley, Honiton). No one was injured during the collision.
A spokesperson for the Avon and Somerset Police said: "An articulated lorry left the road at about 11.30pm on Wednesday and a closure remains in place to allow for specialist vehicle recovery work.
