Crash shuts Middlesbrough’s Stokesley Road with police and ambulance called to scene

A crash has shut Middlesbrough's Stokesley Road with police and ambulance called to the scene. The collision happened just past The Grove, leading to Cleveland Police[1] closing the road from Ladgate Lane up to the A174. Several ambulance vehicles also attended the incident around 7.15pm tonight - Thursday, January 23.

Pictures show emergency services at the scene of the crash, which is believed to involve a van which collided with a property, with a cordon erected and blue lights flashing. Officers began making door to door inquiries and asking if residents had any CCTV. The force released a statement on Facebook[2] around 9.15pm saying: "Stokesley[3] Road (A172) is currently closed between Ladgate Lane and the A174 due to a collision.

Please use alternative routes. Thank you for your patience."
