Driver banned after being caught by these 50mph speed cameras

Daniel Saywell was caught breaking the 50mph speed limit by the automatic cameras on the A449 at Omberlsey between Worcester and Kidderminster. The 35-year-old Greenfields Drive, Newport, Shropshire was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall when he was caught speed by cameras on the northbound carriageway on March 28 last year. He was banned from driving for six months at Worcester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 15 when clocked by the cameras between Crossway Green and Hartlebury.

Saywell received a points disqualification of six months and was fined GBP215. His guilty plea was taken into account during the sentencing hearing.  He was also ordered to pay costs of GBP110 and a surcharge of GBP86.

A collection order was made, giving the court extra powers to recover the money.

Saywell was given until February 12 to pay in full.
