Elderly driver DISQUALIFIED for speeding on motorway

Ian Grant, of Grimsbury Drive, Banbury, was caught on June 5 last year speeding on the M1 Southbound near the Woodall Services. The 79-year-od was caught near junction 30 driving at 59mph in a speed restricted zone of 50mph. He was caught on an automatic speed camera.

He was disqualified due to his repeat offending. He also had three points added to his driving record. There were court costs of GBP90 and a victim surcharge of GBP88.
