Exact locations of 20mph mobile speed cameras in North Wales in January 2025

The new year is underway but the arguments over the default 20mph limit in Wales will be sure to continue well into 2025. It will be a year of change for the limit with work underway by local authorities to return some roads back to 30mph after a review. That process is expected to be completed by the spring with a significant increase likely in these 'exception' roads in some North Wales counties.

The other potential change is in the speed limit threshold before fines and points are handed out. It is currently 26mph before people get pinged but this could be cut to 24mph later in the year.[1] As 2024 progressed the number of drivers caught speeding rocketed on 20mph roads rocketed as enforcement was stepped up.

This is likely to continue into the new year. Here we list where the mobile speed vans are due to be stationed in January 2025. List of the 20mph roads where mobile Go Safe cameras will be this month.
