Live: M5 crash sparks lane closure near Bristol ahead of rush hour

There were traffic delays on the M5 ahead of rush hour this afternoon (Tuesday, January 28). A lane was closed after a crash near Bristol and delays are building. According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the collision involved a lorry and happened on the southbound carriageway.

The motorway reopened and traffic returned to normal by 4.50pm.

Inrix said: "Traffic returned to normal, earlier accident on M5 Southbound at J16 A38 Gloucester Road (Aztec West)."
