Live: M5 grinds to complete standstill in Gloucestershire

All traffic on the M5 near Tewkesbury is currently at a standstill following a crash this morning, Wednesday, January 22. Traffic is being held after a reported car and lorry crash on the northbound carriageway near Tewkesbury. Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, first reported the crash at 8.10am.

It said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, a car and a lorry involved on M5 Northbound from J9 A46 (Tewkesbury) to J8 M50. The accident happened just after 8am." The extent of the crash is not known at this time.

Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
