Live: M5 traffic chaos after rush hour crash in Devon

Emergency services are at the scene of a rush hour crash on the M5 in Devon this afternoon, Friday, January 31. Traffic was held after a reported car and van crash on the southbound carriageway of the M5 at Exeter. Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix reported the crash at 4.55pm.

It said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, a car and a van involved on M5 Southbound near J31 A38 (Okehampton turn off).Held around 16:55." Traffic cameras show a number of vehicles pulled into the hard shoulder, with police at the scene. Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
