Lorry and car crash on A38 in Plymouth near Tamar Bridge
Motorists were warned of delays on the A38 in Plymouth this afternoon following a crash. One lane of the A38 was closed due to a crash near Pemros Road by the Tamar Bridge. Roads and traffic monitoring site Inrix reported the crash at 11.57am.
It said: "Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident on A38 Devon Expressway Eastbound at Pemros Road." Tamar Crossings also warned drivers of heavy traffic on the Tamar Bridge. It said there were long delays on the bridge heading into Plymouth from Cornwall.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry near the Tamar Bridge at around 11.50am today, Friday 3 January. "No injuries were reported. One lane was closed but has since been reopened."
