M1 weather conditions: Live updates as lanes closed by lorry crash and snowfall

Two separate lane closures have been put in place on the M1 northbound as snowy conditions cause significant travel disruption. Three lanes are closed[1] due to an accident on the M1 Northbound from J30 A616 for Worksop/ Sheffield South to the J31 A57 Worksop[2] Road. Another two lanes are closed due to what traffic monitoring service Inrix describes as a "jackknifed lorry and snow" in the same area.

It is reported that the lorry is on the northbound side, while two lanes also closed southbound due to snow. National Highways has said the closures could take a few hours to clear. On its website it said that normal traffic conditions would return to the northbound route at around 11.30am, and to the southbound route at around 10am.
