Two women and two boys taken to hospital after A4232 crash

The crash resulted in severe delays on the A4232

There are severe delays of 16 minutes on the westbound between A48 Cowbridge Road (Culver House Cross) and M4 J33 (Cardiff West and Services) at around 3.56pm.

The circumstances of the crash are being looked into, say police

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 3.10pm today emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the northbound carriageway of the A4232 near junction 33 of the M4 motorway. "The collision involved a Mercedes car and a Fiat van.

The male driver of the van was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The occupants of the car, two women and two boys were taken to hospital as a precaution.

"The circumstances of the collision are being looked into."
