Van driver in Royal Stoke after 3am M6 lorry crash
A van driver was freed from his vehicle before being taken to hospital with 'potentially serious injuries' following a smash with a truck on the M6.[1] Police, paramedics and firefighters were scrambled to the southbound carriageway in North Staffordshire - where all traffic had to be brought to a stop. Now West Midlands Ambulance Service [2]has confirmed the casualty was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital [3]after Friday morning's collision. Emergency services had been sent to the scene - between junction 15 for Stoke-on-Trent South and junction 14 for Stafford North - at around 3am where they found a truck and van had crashed.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service[4] sent crews from Hanley and Newcastle to the scene.
