Wallasey Dock Link North closed due to ‘police incident’

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We were called to a road traffic collision on the Dock Road, Wallasey at around 2.40pm today, January 17. "The caller reported a collision involving a van and motorbike. "The motorbike rider is seriously injured and has been taken to hospital.

"The road is closed from Poulton Bridge Road to Limekiln Lane, Poulton. Road users are advised to use alternative routes. "The van driver remains at the scene."

Live traffic tracker INRIX stated as of 4pm: "A5139 Wallasey Dock Link North both ways closed due to police incident from Limekiln Lane to A5088 Poulton Bridge Road."
