11-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in M606 crash

The motorway was closed on the northbound carriageway between junction 2 and junction 3 while three collisions - which happened between 5.11pm and 5.52pm - were dealt with. The most serious of those involved a lorry and a car. Four people in total were taken to hospital - three to Leeds General Infirmary and one to Dewsbury and District Hospital. A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "An 11-year-old boy suffered serious injuries that are not life-threatening. "Three other people were treated for minor injuries."
