A14 crash causes long delays in Cambridgeshire
All traffic on a major A-road in Cambridgeshire[1] was held for 15 minutes following a crash. A collision involving a lorry and a car caused long delays on the A14 Westbound[2] on Friday (February 28). The crash happened between the J23 Godmanchester and the J22 A1.
The collision was reported as being damage only. All lanes have now reopened and the traffic in the area is easing. Inrix, the traffic data monitoring company, said: "Traffic easing, accident cleared on A14 Westbound between J23 (Godmanchester) and J22 A1 (Brampton).
"Traffic has now been released after a fifteen minute hold at 11:00. All lanes are now open." A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We received a call around 11am to a report of a damage only collision between a lorry and a car on the A14 at Brampton."
