BMW driver seriously injured after M27 eastbound crash
Police were called shortly after 6am on Wednesday following the collision involving a car and a lorry on the M27 eastbound. The incident happened between junctions 10 and 11 and causes severe delays[1] during rush hour. The BMW driver, a woman in her 20s, suffered a serious injury to her wrist.
Police initially said only minor injuries were reported. As part of their investigation, officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson Hampshire Constabulary said: "We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision and anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
"If you have information, please call 101 quoting reference 44250054148."
Three lanes of four on the motorway near Fareham[3] were shut while emergency services dealt with the incident.
At the height of the incident, there was four and then two and a half miles of congestion.
