Busy motorway stretch closes after ‘serious crash’
A busy section of the M6 in Lancashire has closed following a "serious collision" involving a lorry and a van, police have said.
Lancashire Police said the crash happened at about 06:00 GMT on the northbound carriageway between junction 32 for the M55 and junction 33 for Garstang.
Posting on social media, the force said: "We anticipate that the motorway will be closed for some time."
National Highways warned of 45-minute delays and advised motorists to follow the "solid triangle" diversion symbol, external[1] on road signs.
