Long delays on M20 coast-bound after crash between Junction 3 at Wrotham and Junction 4 at Leybourne

There were long delays on the M20 after an accident involving a car and a lorry. The coast-bound carriageway of the motorway was closed after the crash between Junction 3 for the M26 and Wrotham and Junction 4 for Leybourne, at about 2.25pm.

The motorway reopened as of about 3.30pm but long delays remained while the queued traffic cleared. The gridlock had eased by 4.30pm.

Kent Police say there were no serious injuries.
