M5 truck driver stopped with loose building equipment and cracked windscreen

A truck with a cracked windscreen and loose scaffolding equipment was seized by police on the M5. Gloucestershire Police's Roads Police Unit and the Driving Standards Agency stopped the vehicle on the motorway in Gloucestershire. Officers found the driver had been disqualified and there were a number of issues with the truck.

In addition to an insecure load, the vehicle had a cracked windscreen and a bald tyre. The driver was reported, while the vehicle was banned from the road and seized. Glos Police Specialist Ops said: "RPU & DVSA stopped this vehicle on the M5, checks revealed the driver was disqualified and a number of defects on the vehicle.
