M6: Traffic after incident involving van at Knutsford Services

The crash was close to Knutsford Services on the southbound carriageway. One lane was shut between the junctions with the A556, for Knutsford, and the A54, for Middlewich, after an incident involving a van some time after 8am today, Saturday. Traffic England's traffic cameras showed the vehicle in the barrier by the road.

It is not known if there were other vehicles involved in the incident at this time.

There was slow traffic between the junctions for the A556 and the A54 as a result.

The Guardian asked the emergency services for a comment.
