M606 northbound: Four rushed to hospital after crashes
The Telegraph & Argus witnessed the air ambulance land on a field near the middle junction of the M606 at around 6.30pm. The motorway is currently closed northbound between Junction 2 and Junction 3 due to incidents which occurred between 5.11pm and 5.52pm this evening. The most serious of those involved a lorry and a car.
Further to Yorkshire Ambulance Service's earlier statement, a spokesperson confirmed that four patients have been conveyed to hospital - three to Leeds General Infirmary and one to Dewsbury and District Hospital. The Telegraph & Argus has approached West Yorkshire Police for a comment.

A spokesperson from YAS told the T&A: "There is an ongoing incident on the M606. "Three separate incidents have occurred between 5.11pm and 5.52pm.
The most serious of those appears to be between a lorry and a car.
"Several ambulance resources are at the scene, including an air ambulance."
