St Chads Queensway crash live as lane blocked after multi-vehicle collision

A lane on a major city route is currently blocked after a multi-vehicle crash. Lane two of St Chads Queensway has shut following the collision during rush hour this morning, Tuesday, February 11. Drivers are stuck in "long delays".

Motorists were warned to allow extra time for their journeys and should consider alternative routes if possible. West Midlands Roads has issued an update on social media platform X following the crash. It wrote: "St Chads Queensway, multiple vehicle road traffic collision at the entrance of the tunnel in the southbound direction.

"Lane two is closed. Allow extra time to travel and consider alternative routes to avoid delays to your journey." The latest update on Inrix reads: "Long delays and one lane closed due to accident on A38 St Chads Queensways southbound, before St Chads Tunnel (Lancaster Circus).
