Woman, 24, charged nearly a year after pensioner died in horror crash in Scots town
A WOMAN has been charged nearly a year after a pensioner died in a horror smash. Emergency services[1] last March raced to the A721 Bellshill Road at the junction with Logans Road, Lanarkshire[2]. A male pensioner, 68, was rushed to the Queen[3] Elizabeth University Hospital where he tragically died a few days later.
The Ford driver, 24, will be reported to the procurator fiscal. A Police Scotland[4] spokesman said: "A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal crash in Motherwell. "Around 9.10pm on Sunday, 17 March, 2024, we received a report of a crash involving a 68-year-old male pedestrian and a white Ford Puma on the A721 Bellshill Road at the junction with Logans Road.
