Woman pedestrian killed after being hit by pick-up truck: Police urging witnesses to come forward

Police are urging for witnesses to come forward after a woman was hit by a pick-up truck and died.
Emergency service crews were called to High Road in Wormley, Hertfordshire, at 6.30pm on Tuesday following a collision involving a white Mitsubishi pick-up and a pedestrian.
Sadly, the woman died at the scene shortly afterwards.
Police have closed the road and say it will remain that way until the early hours of Friday morning.
Motorists have been told to avoid the area with traffic already badly affected by the closing of the A10 due to roadworks.

The force has appealed for witnesses and dash cam footage from the incident to help in their investigation.
A Herefordshire Police spokesperson said: 'We're appealing for dash cam footage & witnesses to the collision in High Road, Wormley at 6.30pm involving a white Mitsubishi pick-up & a female pedestrian who sadly died.
'The road is expected to remain closed for the next two hours.
The A10 is also closed due to roadworks which is also significantly affecting traffic.
Please avoid travelling in the area if possible.'
