A1 closed southbound after lorry and van collision

Part of the A1 has been closed following a collision between a lorry and a van.

National Highways said, external [1] the road had been shut southbound between the A47 at Peterborough and the A605 near Alwalton.

Cambridgeshire Police said emergency services were called to the scene at about 07:20 GMT.

A diversion route was put in place and drivers were warned to expect delays of about 60 minutes.
