Lanes were closed on the M6 northbound due to a crash between a HGV and a car. Three lanes were closed on the northbound carriageway between junction 30 and junction 31 on the M6 after a crash that occurred at around 7.30am this morning (14 March). The incident caused a number of delays on the motorway network with the M6 and M61 both heavily affected.

The crash was a damage-only incident between a car and a HGV, Blog Preston understands. Traffic has since returned to normal. Subscribe: Keep in touch directly with the latest headlines from Blog Preston, join our WhatsApp channel[9] and subscribe for our twice-a-week email newsletter[10].
