Eight miles of queues due to M1 lorry fire
A lorry fire on the M1 led to eight miles of tailbacks.
Fire crews were called to an HGV on fire on the northbound side of the motorway between junction 28 and junction 29 near Tibshelf at 08:48 GMT on Wednesday morning.
Crews from Chesterfield, Alfreton, Clay Cross with a water carrier, and Nottinghamshire's Ashfield station, put the fire out.
Three lanes northbound were initially shut due to the fire, which sent a large smoke plume into the skies near Tibshelf, before a full closure was put in place.
