Emergency services called to Shrub Hill retail park bridge

Police, the ambulance service and the fire service were called to an incident on Cromwell Street just after 5pm on Monday, March 3. Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said one of its crews attended following concern for the safety of a man on a footbridge near the Shrub Hill Retail Park.

The man was then passed into the care of police and the ambulance service.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 17:11 on 3 March to a concern for safety at a footbridge in Cromwell Street, Worcester. "A man was handed over to the care of the police and ambulance service who also attended. The incident was marked as pending closure at 17:35."
