Fox Inn crash: Four taken to hospital after collision

A woman in the car had serious injuries and was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. A man who was in the same car also suffered serious injuries and was taken to the same hospital in an ambulance. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 6pm to reports that a car and a van had crashed on the A4103 last night (Sunday, March 9).

In the van, two people were found to have potentially serious injuries and were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. The ambulance service has confirmed that four ambulances and an air ambulance were among the vehicles it sent to the site of the crash.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a collision involving a van and a car on the A4103 in Bransford[4] at 6.03pm yesterday.

"Four ambulances, two paramedic officers, the Trust's Critical Care Car, the BASICS doctor from the Mercia Accident Rescue Service and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene. "On arrival we discovered four patients. A woman, from the car, was found to have suffered serious injuries and after receiving specialist trauma care at the scene was airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.

A man, also from the car was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to the same hospital by land ambulance. "Two further men, from the van, were also treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Worcester Royal Hospital by land ambulance." It's understood that the road was closed for some time following the crash.

Police are also reported to have been in attendance.
