Live: Tractor and lorry crash closes A38 through Gloucestershire

A lorry and a tractor have collided in Gloucestershire, causing serious disruption.[1] The A38 Bristol Road was closed following the crash in Berkeley. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 2.35pm today (Thursday, March 27). Gloucestershire Police[2] said that drivers are advised to avoid the area for the time being. The force said in a statement: "The A38 Bristol Road in Berkeley is currently closed following a collision earlier this afternoon (Thursday 27 March).

"Police were called shortly after 2.35pm with a report of a collision involving a car and tractor near Haycroft Lane. Emergency services remain at the scene with motorists advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes." According to traffic monitor Inrix, the road reopened by around 6pm.
