Live updates as collision closes North Staffordshire road with ‘investigation work’ underway

A North Staffordshire road remains closed this morning following a collision. And 'investigation work' is said to be continuing at the scene on Eccleshall Road near to Norton Bridge. Currently a closure is in place between Lakesedge and the Station Road roundabout.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix first issued an alert at around 11.50pm last night. In an update this morning it states: "B5026 in both directions closed due to accident investigation work from Stone turn off to Lakesedge." It comes on a busy morning in the area. As reported by StokeonTrentLive[1] 'all emergency services' have been sent to the southbound M6 where a truck has left the carriageway.

That has resulted in the motorway being closed between Junction 14 to 13.
