M6 closure as emergency services called to crash
A statement from the group said: "Congestion approaching closure.
Expect additional traffic on A454 Black Country Route as traffic diverts."
National Highways said a lamppost from within the central reservation had been torn down in the collision and there was a substantial oil spillage, adding its crews were working to treat the spillage.
West Midlands Fire Service is in attendance, alongside police and paramedics.
Transport analytics company Inrix said there were long delays from J10 A454 Black Country Route (Wolverhampton / Walsall) to J10A M54 J10A, due to the jack-knifed lorry.
It added that there was congestion to J8 of the M6 (Rayhall and M5 Interchange).
A diversion is in place, with Inrix saying: "From J10 use the A454 towards Wolverhampton - A4150 Wolverhampton Ring Road - A449 Stafford Road for J2 M54 and then A5 Watling Street for J12 M6."
