M6 live updates after lorry crash causes long delays

Motorists travelling on the M6 this morning are experiencing delays following a lorry crash. Emergency services were sent to the southbound stretch of motorway between junctions 14 and 13 at around 4am today, Thursday, March 13. Long delays followed for motorists as crews continued to work at the scene.

National Highways West Midlands shared at 4.20am: "The M6 in Staffordshire is CLOSED southbound between J14 (Stafford) & J13 (Dunston) due to a collision involving a lorry which has left the carriageway. "All emergency services are attending the scene. Thanks for your patience if you're held up."

They added at 6.35am: "Lane 1 and 2 are now CLOSED on the M6 in Staffordshire southbound between J14 (Stafford) & J13 (Dunston) for recovery of a lorry involved in an earlier collision."
